How can you get involved?

How can you get involved?

How can you get involved?

ACF Philadelphia desires to remain as the Leader in Culinary in the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley area. This is an expansive area to cover. We need more participation from this community of cooks, chefs, professional, educations, senior chefs  and suppliers.

Your participation at ACF Philly sponsored events is always welcome and appreciated. You should want to help others. Some upcoming events include opportunities to volunteer at The Sunday Mission in Philadelphia- feeding the hungry.

Certification Committee is planning an evaluation in June 2023

The Sunday Mission

How can you get involved?

How can you get involved?

Serving a meal is a really great way to experience the front end of what Sunday Mission does every day, serving meals to our residents and any homeless individual who needs one. Serving a meal with us involves partnering with our kitchen team to serve a delicious warm meal to our guests. Our kitchen team will handle the cooking of the meal, which allows volunteers to participate by plating up the food and personally bringing the meal out to each guest seated in our dining room. After everyone has been served, we also ask volunteers to grab a meal themselves and take some time to chat with our guests!

I see that you are available to serve lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays. We have lunch service options open on Monday, April 17th, Monday, April 24th and Tuesday, April 25th. The lunch shift runs from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm.

I do want to mention that all of our current volunteer opportunities have a maximum capacity of 10. However, I'd be happy to work with you to set up more than one date to serve lunch to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate. Many groups find that splitting up the group also works really well for coordinating different schedules.

Let me know any dates that would work for you, and we can go from there. acfphillychefs@gmail.com
